19th Century Southern German Bass Violin
Full-cut 3/4 Size, Gamba Shaped, Round Back

Top table is a two-piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce
Back table is a two-piece plate of slightly figured maple
Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
Scroll and neck are original of plain grained maple
Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues
Extremely fine orchestral and jazz qualities. Very powerful and open in all registers.
