Made in Udine, Italy, circa 1730
- Top is a 2 piece sectional plate of fine vertical grained spruce, ranging in grain from narrow to medium grain
- Back is a 1 piece plate of slab cut maple
- Ribs of matching character slab cut maple to that of the back table
- Scroll is original of plain grain maple with moderately flamed maple neck graft
- Varnish is reddish brown with amber hues
- Restored to fine condition
- This fine pedigree violin is an exception example of Goffriller workmanship offering a deep lush quality of sound..exceptional projection and evenness.
