Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
Back table is two-piece broad flamed maple
Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
Varnish is a wonderfully transparent, brownish amber
The sound of this instrument is quite impressive in projection and evenness
This violin is in immaculate condition. There is a natural vein line on both halves of the back table which should not be considered damage, but a natural cosmetic characteristic of the back wood chosen by Sgarbi.
This instrument is a fine example of Sgarbi workmanship in all aspects
