Made in Milan, Italy c. 1730
- Top table is two-piece medium vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece slab-cut willow
- There is an ebony half moon inlay at the neck block button on the back table
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table with ebony inserts located at the neck block
- Original scroll of plain grained poplar with a moderately flamed maple neck graft
- The tuners are individual brass gears mounted on brass plates – two to a plate
- Varnish is transparent, deep brownish amber
- This exquisite example of Testore craftsmanship offers a solo design bass capable of large , orchestral sound as well as a pointed, projecting solo tonal quality; most impressive in all aspects
- Fully restored to excellent condition by Samuel Kolstein & Son, Ltd. and so labeled within
