Made in Turin, Italy c. 1900
- Top table is a two-piece plate of modified slab-cut fir
- Back table is a two-piece plate of slab-cut poplar
- Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
- Scroll and neck are original of slightly figured maple
- Decorative individual bass tuning gears
- Varnish is deep reddish brown
- This bass is truly an amazing orchestral bass with a smaller stature for ease of solo capacity playing. It has great projection, wonderful sonarity of its tonal qualities. A wonderful example of this maker’s workmanship.
