Made in Como, Italy c. 1770
- Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece slab-cut poplar with slight flaming
- Ribs of plain grained poplar
- Original scroll of moderately flamed maple with a broad flamed maple neck graft
- Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues
- This violin produces a deep, lush sound that is even in all registers – a fine example of Italian craftsmanship both aesthetically and tonally
- Fully restored to excellent condition
- Overall body length: 353 mm.
- Width at the upper bout: 163 mm.
- Width at the center bout: 109 mm.
- Width at the lower bout: 203 mm.
