Made in Naples, Italy c. 1860-1870
- Top table is two-piece medium vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece moderately flamed maple with the flame descending slightly from the center joint
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Original scroll of plain grained maple with a moderately flamed maple neck graft
- Varnish is deep reddish amber
- Tonal qualities: characteristic Neapolitan sound typical of Gagliano instruments of this period – deep and lush with strong projection across all registers
- Fully restored to excellent condition
- Overall body length: 76 cm.
- Width at the upper bout: 33.8 cm.
- Width at the center bout: 23.7 cm.
- Width at the lower bout: 43.6 cm.
