Top table is a six-piece plate of spruce ranging from modified slab-cut at the center to fine vertical grained at the outer flanks
Back table is a two-piece plate of slab-cut poplar
Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
Original scroll of poplar with a slightly figured maple neck graft
Individual brass Baker tuning gears
Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues
This instrument is an excellent example of the maker’s craftsmanship; extremely fine projection and depth of tone; even in all registers; fine caliber orchestral bass
Fully restored to excellent condition
