- Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece moderately flamed poplar with the flame ascending slightly from the center joint
- Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
- Branded by maker below the neckblock button GR
- Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
- Varnish is a deep reddish brown color
- The tone of this fine instrument exhibits a spectacular, deep viola quality with excellent projection and sonority in all registers
