Made in Germany c. 1901
- Top table is a two-piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce
- Back table is a two-piece plate of moderately flamed maple with the Hoyer crest burnt into the back table below the neckblock button
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Original scroll of moderately figured maple
- Gears are of 5-string configuration and are German plate tuning gears
- Varnish is deep brownish color with amber hues
- This bass is one of the most magnificent orchestal basses with amazing depth and projection. This bass bears the maker’s orignal label within.
