Made in Turin, Italy c. 1816
- Top table is a two-piece plate of fine vertical grained spruce
- Back table is a two-piece plate of broad flamed Italian poplar
- Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
- Original scroll of plain grained poplar with a plain grained maple neck graft
- Italian style individual brass tuning gears mounted on decorative brass plates
- Varnish is deep brownish amber
- This bass is a wonderful example of Pressenda influence Turin workmanship. Marvelous orchestral and solo capabilities; truly a first class, master level instrument.
