Modified copy of the broad pattern Nicolo Amati
Made c. 1998 within the shop of
Samuel Kolstein & Son, Ltd., Violinmakers
- Top table is two-piece medium vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece broad flamed poplar
- Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
- Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
- Varnish is deep reddish brown with a fine quality antiquing
- Tonal qualities: very high quality sound with great depth and darkness, yet powerful projection
- Totally mint condition
- Overall body length: 356 mm.
