Branded Wein at Endblock of Bass
3/4 Size, Gamba Cornered, Flatback Model
Made circa 1900.
- Top table is a two-piece plate of wide vertical grained spruce
- Back table is a two-piece plate of plainer figured maple
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Scroll is original of plain grain maple with moderately flamed maple neck graft.
- Gear are German Plate Tuning Gears
- Varnish is deep reddish orange color
- Excellent condition
- This bass has a wonderful arco and pizz sound …and was formerly owned by Jazz great Gerald Canon
