Made in Naples, Italy c. 1708
- Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
- Back table is one-piece highly flamed maple
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Original scroll of moderately flamed maple with a nice flamed maple neck graft
- Varnish is lovely, transparent, brown amber; quite spectacular aesthetically
- The sound is quite warm and projecting – truly classic 18th century Neapolitan tonal qualities
- Has had minor top repair, expertly done, and is in excellent condition
- Overall body length: 350 mm.
- This extremely fine and rare example of Poppella workmanship has the original makers’ label within and certification from:
