Full-cut 3/4 Size, Violin Cornered, Roundback Model
Made c. 1840
- Top table is a two-piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce
- Back table is a two-piece plate of birdseye maple
- Ribs of burled flamed maple
- Scroll and neck are original of plain grained maple
- Individual wooden knobbed tuning gears
- Varnish is deep brownish amber with reddish hues
- Excellent condition
- Overall body length: 42 1/2 in.
- Width at the upper bout: 19 1/8 in.
- Width at the center bout: 14 5/8 in.
- Width at the lower bout: 26 1/2 in.
- Mensure (string length): 42 5/8 in.
