Top table is a two-piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce
Back table is a two-piece plate of moderately flamed maple with the flame descending slightly from the center joint
Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
Brass German plate tuners
The bass has a fingered extension
Varnish is deep brownish amber
This excellent example of older Rubner workmanship offers great depth and quality of sound; superb solo and orchestral characteristics in a moderately priced instrument
