Top table is two-piece broad vertical grained spruce
Back table is two-piece quarter-cut maple with narrow flames descending slightly from the center joint
Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
Scroll and neck are original of matching maple to that of the back table
Varnish is brownish orange
This fine example of Scarampella workmanship has an exquisite, warm sound with strong projection and great depth; an excellent instrument for any level of orchestral or solo playing
