This instrument is a fine copy of a Guarneri model violin
Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
Back table is two-piece broadly flamed maple with the flame slightly descending at the center joint
Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
Varnish is a brownish amber; beautifully antiqued
Tonal qualities: mature, robust sound offering fine projection, evenness and depth in all registers
