Made in Naples, Italy c. 1898
- Top table is a two-piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce
- Back table is a two-piece plate of slightly figured maple
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Original scroll of plain grained maple with a plain grained maple neck graft
- Individual ebony Tyrolean knobs with ebony turning pegs
- Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues
- This bass has very strong influence of Gagliano shop. Bass has extremely fine sound, great depth and even in all registers. A truly fine bass with great orchestral and solo qualities.
