Attr. Custode Marcucci Bass made in Ravenna, Italy 1933

The bass is a full cut 3/4 violin cornered roundback model. The top is a two piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce. The back is a two-piece plate of partial slabcut poplar. The ribs are of matching slab cut graining poplar to that of the back table. The scroll is original with a moderately figured maple neck graft. The varnish is a deep reddish brown. The instrument has individual wooden knob tuning gears. The instrument bears the makers label.
