0:13 – STEP BY STEP HANDLING OF KOLSTEIN’S BUSETTO BASS WITH REMOVABLE NECK
Secure the strings to the neck using the rubber strap. This will keep the springs from getting entangled when the neck is removed and prevent the strings from getting pulled towards the tuning gears.
Loosen the strings.
Remove the bridge and unhook the tailpiece with the strings attached.
Place the strings and tailpiece inside the specially made string sac.
With a counterclockwise motion, loosen the main connecting screw using a standard five sixteenths allen wrench. Once loosened, use the other end of the allen wrench to easily remove the main connecting screw.
Remove the ebony knob screw located at the back of the neck block button.
Slightly pull the neck to separate

Position the neck back into the locking mechanism in the neck block cavity and secure the neck to the body of the base with a support screw using the allen wrench.
Once accomplished screw in and tighten the ebony sprocket nut situated at the back of the neck block button. Remove the tailpiece and springs from the storage sack and hook the tailpiece wire around the end pin. Then reposition the bridge to the corner marks on the top of the base and lift the strings back onto the bridge. The sound post is designed to stay in position when the neck and bridge are removed. It is recommended that you periodically have the Kolstein Busetto Travel Bass tonally adjusted as any other fine bass to maximize its tonal qualities.
