Bela Racz Montagnana Model Bass

Made in Hungary 2023 The bass is a full cut 3/4 violin cornered roundback model. The top is a two piece plate of fine vertical grained spruce with two wings added to the lower bouts of the top table. The back is a two piece plate of moderately flamed maple. The back has a traditional venetian raised marquetry insignia below the neck block button. The ribs are of matching character maple to that of the back table. The neck and scroll are original of slight figured maple with a maple neck graft. The varnish is a light amber brown color antiqued in nature. The instrument has individual wooden model tuning gears. The bass is in excellent condition.
