3/4 Size, Gamba Cornered, Flatback Model
Made circa 1900.
  • Top table is a two-piece plate of wide vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is a two-piece plate of plainer figured maple
  • Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
  • Scroll is original of plain grain maple with moderately flamed maple neck graft.
  • Gear are German Plate Tuning Gears
  • Varnish is deep reddish orange color
  • Excellent condition
  • This bass has a wonderful arco and pizz sound ...and was formerly owned by Jazz great Gerald Canon
  • Overall body length: 44 in.
  • Width at the upper bout: 19 1/4 in.
  • Width at the center bout: 13 1/2 in.
  • Width at the lower bout: 25 in.
