- Giovanni Schwartz made this instrument within the shop of Eugenio Degani of Venice and was Degani's nephew
- Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece moderately flamed maple
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Original scroll of moderately flamed maple with a moderately flamed maple neck graft
- Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues
- This fine example of Giovanni Schwartz workmanship has a quality of sound similar to Degani violins with great depth and strong projection

- Overall body length: 356 mm.
- Width at the upper bout: 167 mm.
- Width at the center bout: 114 mm.
- Width at the lower bout: 208 mm.
