  • Top table is a multi-piece plate of slab-cut fir
  • Back table is a two-piece plate of sycamore, ranging in grain from flamed at the center joint to modified slab-cut outer flanks
  • Ribs of moderately flamed sycamore
  • Original scroll of slightly figured sycamore with a highly flamed maple neck graft
  • Individual brass tuning gears mounted on brass plates
  • Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues
  • Extremely fine example of Devereux workmanship for the period he worked in Melborne Austrailia. Master orchestral Bass; even in all registers with impressive projection and great depth.
