19th Century Markneukirchen Violin
Made in Germany c. 1820
- This violin is from the Klotz School of violin making and bears the label David Tecchler
- Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
- Back table is two-piece broad flamed maple
- Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
- Original scroll of plain grained maple with a moderately flamed maple neck graft
- Varnish is a beautiful reddish brown - quite exceptional in quality
- Tonal qualities: incredible, rich sound with strong projection
- Mint condition with some repairs normal to an instrument of this age
- Overall body length: 360 mm.
