Mittenwald Strad Copy Violin Made in Germany c. 1910 Extremely high workmanship

  • Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is two-piece highly flamed maple with the flame descending at the center joint
  • Back has a wax impression stamp situated below the neck block button
  • Ribs of broad flamed maple
  • Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
  • Varnish is brownish amber
  • Tonal qualities: deep, rich, projects nicely
  • Excellent condition; top has one insignificant right f-hole wing, properly repaired and bearing no influence on the value of the violin
  • Overall body length: 358 mm.
  • Width at the upper bout: 167 mm.
  • Width at the center bout: 113 mm.
  • Width at the lower bout: 207 mm.
