Techler German Violin

Full size size two piece top plate of medium vertical grained spruce back is a two piece plate of moderately flamed maple. Ribs of matching character to back. Scroll is of plain grained maple with a neck graft. Instrument has dark overtones and wonderful projection. Instrument in great  condition with 1 repair to back and 2 to the front during restoration. 

Techler for over thirty years produced many very fine instruments that show a strong influence of fellow Austrian Jacob Stainer but with flatter archings and more than a hint of Cremonese and Venetian inspiration.
