The bass is a full cut 3/4 size Violin-cornered Flatback Model. The top table is a two piece sectional table of  medium vertical grain spruce. The back is a two piece sectional table of broadly flamed maple. The ribs are of matching character maple to that of the back table. The scroll is original plain grain maple slightly figured maple neck graft. The gears baker style individual brass tuners mounted on brass plates. The varnish is a reddish deep brown with amber hues. This bass has a very lush quality of sound with strong projection..a quality sound with orchestral, solo and jazz capabilities.
