Anton Wilfer Bass Violin made in Germany circa 1930 Top is a 2 piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce Back is a 2 piece plate of highly figured flamed maple Ribs are of matching character to that of the back table with maple outer mouldings adjoining the back and top tables Neck and scroll are original of slightly figured maple Gears are individual brass tuning gears Varnish is a deep reddish brown with amber hues This bass has a reduced rib height for ease of playing but maintains a very impressive sound quality that offers deep and strong projection
