  • Back table is two-piece slightly flamed maple
  • Front and back have traditional Mirecourt raised carvings
  • Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
  • Scroll and neck are original of plain grained maple
  • Individual French brass tuners
  • This bass was originally a 3-string instrument; the fourth gear is well matched to the originals
  • Varnish is brownish amber with reddish hues
  • Tonal qualities: lush, deep sound more typically found in English and Italian pedigreed instruments; impressive orchestral bass in every aspect
  • Excellent condition
