  • Top table is a two-piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is a two-piece plate of slab-cut willow
  • Ribs of matching willow to that of the back table
  • Scroll and neck are original of slightly flamed maple
  • Individual Rococo brass tuners
  • Varnish is deep reddish brown with amber hues; antiqued
  • This instrument is one of the most successful designs from the Kolstein shop. It has received world-wide acclaim for tonal quality, projection and evenness. This contemporary bass has the characteristics of a much higher priced instrument.
