  • Back table is a two-piece plate of slightly figured poplar
  • Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
  • Original scroll of plain grained maple with a slightly flamed maple neck graft
  • Individual Baker style tuning gears
  • Varnish is a magnificent deep reddish brown with amber hues
  • This instrument is one of the most glorious orchestral basses; great depth and projection; even in all registers; one of the finest instruments ever to enter the Kolstein collection
