  • Back table is a two-piece plate of slab-cut poplar
  • Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
  • Original scroll of slab-cut poplar with a moderately flamed maple neck graft
  • Italian style Montavani tuning gears
  • Varnish is deep reddish brown
  • Extremely impressive Italian bass with very large, deep, robust tonal qualities; excellent for both orchestral and solo use
  • Fully restored to excellent condition by Samuel Kolstein & Son. Ltd in 2002
