3/4 gamba shaped , flat back model

Top is a two piece sectional plate of medium vertical grained spruce
Back is a two- piece sectional plate of slight figured maple
Ribs of matching character slight figured maple to that of the back table
The scroll and neck are original of plain grained maple
The gears are individual Tyrolean wooden knobbed turning gears. There
exists evidence that this fine bass was originally a three string bass.
Varnish is a deep reddish brown color
Tonal qualities: A most strong projection and depth.
