Andreas Morelli Violin Francesco Ruggeri Copy Made in Germany c. 1949 Maker's label and brand within

  • Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is two-piece broad flamed maple with the flame slightly descending at the center joint
  • Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
  • Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
  • Varnish is deep reddish amber
  • Tonal qualities: deep, rich sound that projects nicely
  • Excellent condition - Two cracks to the top table - both excellently restored:
    • One crack situated to the left of the lower ebony saddle extending to the soundpost area
    • The second crack is on the upper left bout extending approximately 5" in length
    Both cracks were repaired by the Kolstein Violin Shop and are fully guaranteed by the Kolstein Shop. Back table, ribs, neck and scroll are in mint condition.
