19th Century Markneukirchen Violin Made in Germany c. 1820

  • This violin is from the Klotz School of violin making and bears the label David Tecchler
  • Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is two-piece broad flamed maple
  • Ribs of matching maple to that of the back table
  • Original scroll of plain grained maple with a moderately flamed maple neck graft
  • Varnish is a beautiful reddish brown - quite exceptional in quality
  • Tonal qualities: incredible, rich sound with strong projection
  • Mint condition with some repairs normal to an instrument of this age
  • Overall body length: 360 mm.
