Bela Racz Ruggeri Bass
Couldn't load pickup availability
Bela Racz Ruggeri is a stately instrument with a tastefully rounded upper bout with traditional violin corners. The two-piece spruce has aged elegantly to a subtle rich golden amber hue that perfectly matches the strikingly figured two-piece maple flat back form. The bass has quite the tonal character as well as a good balance of overtones throughout all registers, truly a great bass for pizzicato. In addition to the beautiful patina, the instrument has its original neck, scroll, brass tuning gears, ebony tailpiece, ebony fingerboard, and a Kolstein adjustable bridge.

The instrument is a full size violin. The top table is  a two-piece plate of fine vertical grain spruce. The back table is a two-piece plate of moderately flamed maple slightly descending from the center joint. The ribs are of matching character to that of the back table. The neck and scroll are originall of slightly figured maple.
