Eastern European Italian Style Bass
Eastern European Bass Violin made in the Italian style circa later 20th Century. The bass is full cut 3/4 size violin cornered flatback design. The top table is two piece of partial slab cut fir. Back table is two piece moderately figured maple with ribs of matching character maple to that of the back table. The scroll is origin with a plain grain maple neck graft. Gears are brass Rococo individual tuning gears. The varnish is deep reddish brown color, well antiqued in nature.
