Full cut 3/4 size Italian style
Violin cornered Roundback design
Top is two piece slab cut fir table
Back is two piece slab cut poplar table
Ribs are of matching poplar to that of the back table
Scroll is original of poplar with a plain grain maple neck graft
The varnish is a deep brownish amber color , quite antiqued in nature. Gears are one piece brass Baker style tuning gears of a later period. The bass has a true Italian sound, projecting in all registers with great depth and evenness throughout.The instrument is in excellent fully restored condition
