Italian Attributed Cremona School Bass
A unique northern Italian 3/4 size flat back bass with mechanical C extension. The wood has aged to a wonderful mellow amber brown with reddish undertones. Slab cut fir top, two-piece poplar back, matching character ribs, and a maple neck graft. Produced between the late 1700s and the early 1800s, incorporating period-appropriate brass/wooden tuning gears. A fantastic orchestral bass with a distinct Italian sound.
