Peter Seman Violin

Peter, president of the Chicago School of Violin Making board and a board member of Callipygian Players, has grown Seman Violins from two to eight skilled craftsmen, all affiliated with CSVM. Renowned for creating exceptional violin replicas, Peter has crafted instruments like a 1703 Stradivarius copy for Yuan-Qing Yu, Assistant Concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and a replica of the “ex Soldat” Guarneri Del Gesu 1742 for Gallia Kastner, inspired by Rachel Barton Pine’s original.
