  • Top table is two-piece fine vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is one-piece magnificent broad flamed poplar
  • Ribs of matching poplar to that of the back table
  • Scroll and neck are original of moderately flamed maple
  • Varnish is a wonderfully transparent, brownish amber
  • This instrument is tonally and aesthetically exceptional. It offers the player an ease of playing typical of a larger viola with the large, robust viola sound characteristic of only fine calibre instruments.
